Police, prosecutors and even news personnel have been fabricating lies against our family:

1.  M'linda Kula, my sister-in-law, did overhear the statement, " DISCRIMINATION HASN'T CHANGED MUCH. IT'S STILL GOING ON. THE PROSECUTION OF THESE WHITE PEOPLE WILL LOOK GOOD TO THE PUBLIC" while she was in the Federal Court Building.

2.   Prior to the shootings, David had gone through the security section of the courthouse, ridden up the elevator to the floor he needed and was guided to a room near where his hearing was to take place. Later, the tragedy took place in the foyer of the courthouse. Guards told him what had happened downstairs in the entrance to the courthouse and that he was being detained as a witness.

How could Dr. David Matusiewicz be a witness? Later, Dr. David was told he was being arrested because he had violated his probation by not calling his probation officer on Sunday when the probation office was closed to ask for permission to stay closer to the courthouse because a storm had been predicted. One of David's court appointed attorneys said, "If this were not such a high profile case, David would not have been arrested."

3.   On the date of the tragedy, February 11, 2013, I was taken from Elkton, MD, to the Bear, Delaware State Police Station to be questioned as a witness. I wasn't even in Delaware, let alone the courthouse! How could I be a witness? Questioning was brutal!!!

4.  We believe that the District Attorney, the police and the prosecutors in Delaware are trying to fabricate a case against our whole family including David, my daughter and me, my brother, his wife and their children and even my 91-year-old mother who was in New Jersey. Why do we believe this?

   A.  Because of the line of questioning employed by police detectives and investigators throughout this ordeal

   B.  Because of reports in the news media planted to make Dr. David and me, his mother look guilty by association

   C.  Because four Delaware detectives in four different unmarked cars (with no license plates on their fronts but Delaware plates in the rear and darkly tinted windows illegal in NJ) tried to intimidate my 18-year-old niece (who had been driving a very short time) by following us from Bayville, NJ, to Manahawkin, NJ, and back and tail-gating me when we visited my mother. (Only one un-marked car followed my 23-year-old nephew and only one followed my brother!) When we went to the Bayville Police with our concerns, the representative said that they had been informed that my family was/is under surveillance but having so many police following a young girl is not something NJ police would do. It would put her in harm's way!

Is one reason for the persecution of Dr. David Matusiewicz and his family due to the January 11, 2013, article, "Biden, NRA Clash Over Gun Control" as printed in the Asbury Park Press, Ocean Edition? The article reported Vice-President Joseph Biden's (DelawareAttorney General Beau Biden's father's) stand on guns. Thomas Matusiewicz was a life-long member of the NRA and a staunch supporter of the Constitution of the United States ... the whole Constitution!

The FBI tests their agents with polygraph tests and the CIA tests their agents with sodium pentothol. To prove our innocence, my family and I are willing to do the same.

We will also give out copies of the autopsy report done by Dr. Richard Callery, M.E., in Wilmington, DE, confirming the existence of that tumor and how it has enlarged. We have been told by one of the top 30 medical doctors in the nation (as identified by the National Institute of Health) that the meningioma probably changed Tom's perspective from happiness to rage causing the shootings.

MATUSIEWICZ UPDATE: HUMAN RIGHTS AND THE MATUSIEWICZ GIRLS

Secretary of State, John Kerry, in his April 19, 2013 "Remarks on the Release of the Human Rights Report" stated;

But I want to be clear. While these reports support our engagement with governments, activists, and advocates, they’re only a small fraction of what we do on this issue. They’re just one tool to try to shed light and create accountability and, hopefully, move people in the right direction and move our policy forward. They support the efforts, every single day, of our diplomats and our development experts. And they show brave citizens around the world and those who would abuse them that America is watching.

 



So, let's be clear about who is "watching" and what is being done with these "Human Rights Reports" by "diplomats and ... development experts" of the State of Delaware, a "private company".  

 

Who is it that has "accountability"? 

What is the "right direction" for "policy" to move forward?

Kimberly Lawson, the lawyer ad lidem for my grand-daughters during the hearing in Judge Barbara Crowell's courtroom where Judge Crowell revoked David's parental rights, said that she would investigate my allegations of child abuse; and I gave her a list of people I'd spoken to about what I had witnessed between 2006 and 2007. Did she even bother to call any of the people on the list I gave her before deciding that I had "made up the story to cover the kidnapping"?

So many mistakes have been made in our case(s) including mine. I've paid for mine. David loved his wife and his children and has paid for his...BUT most of all my grand-children are paying for all the rest!  Is that what you would want for your children/grand-children/great-grand-children?

Lenore Matusiewicz Updates the Court of Public Opinion

Lenore Matusiewicz visited her son, David, in a Delaware prison on April 15, 2013.  She submitted the following update to the initial post in the Court of Public Opinion; The extended family of the Matusiewicz children, and their dad, David.

I saw David in Howard R. Young Correctional Institute on Monday. The account he gave of February 11, 2013, made me ill all over again!!! He was through security and upstairs in an anteroom preparing his paperwork for his hearing with (I think) Judge DeSales Haley when the guards came in and told him that his father shot his ex-wife, Christine Belford and her friend, Laura Mulford...and then shot himself. David had wanted to talk to Christine to see if she would tell him anything...anything at all about their children....and to see if she would allow him to visit them.

David was not allowed to get anywhere near his father, Tom. Then, David was taken away as a "witness". The police took his papers and his wallet and either $1400 or $1500 he had for return travelling expenses, child support and restitution and any fines the court would/could decide to levy. Then he was stripped naked, put in a turtle suit (a quilted sack-like garment used in prisons for those who are considered suicidal) and put in solitary confinement. I don't know how long he was kept there...at least a month! The authorities (Ann Downy, from the prison administration, I believe it was) told me that he was in protective custody as a witness. IF THE POLICE HAD TO TELL HIM WHAT HAD HAPPENED AT LEAST ONE FLOOR OR MORE BELOW, HOW COULD DAVID BE A WITNESS? NO WONDER POLICE, LAWYERS, GUARDS ,ETC. THINK OTHER PEOPLE LIE... SOME POLICE, GUARDS, LAWYERS, ETC. DO IT ALL THE TIME!!!!

David said someone slid a sack full of feces into his cell with Christine Belford's obituary attached to it! How? Why? He was finally put into general population...as a prisoner for not making a phone call to his probation officer in Texas to ask for permission to stay overnight somewhere close to the courthouse due to reports of a storm on Sunday when the probation office is closed!

Then, police got a search warrant for our house in Texas. (Texas probation officers did not come out to our house in October to inspect it when David moved in!...and still have not!) The police found guns (2?) locked up in Tom's safe. They found one or two locked up in Tom's camper. They found another one or 2 locked up in a shed. They found all kinds of keys and all kinds of paper work. They found the book "Kill All The Lawyers" that Bob Bertrand had sent me from Florida ...but not the 6 or 7 bibles (including one in Spanish) or all of the religous pamphlets, etc They found 39 silver bars..Then, they went to Tom's storage facility and found a whole cache of guns. They took all of it "as evidence"!!

Tom was a gun collector. Why? His father taught him to shoot when Tom was a child. The Navy taught him to shoot when he was in the service. The police taught him to shoot when he was in the police department.Tom told me that a gun he had purchased about a year or so ago for approximately $100.00 is now selling for $400.00. You don't get that kind of return on anything...not stocks, not bonds, not gold, not silver, not land...nothing! Of course, guns are not an IRS approved retirement fund. When Tom cashed in his IRAs in 2007, he was not only fined(?) about $40,000 and was told he had to pay an additional (approximately) $40,000.00 for taking out his own retirement money to use after he retired.The IRS has put a lien against our property but won't collect on it right now ...they're only going to add a percentage each month until what we owe them is worth more than our property...then, they can take our property! Tom had promised me that he had taken all of his guns to the storage building.

With his meningioma, Tom may have forgotten he still had some guns on our property when David moved in. Tom'd forget that he'd cooked himself breakfast at 4:00 a.m.and eaten it, would cook and eat breakfast again at 6:00 and then again at 10:00. He got lost in a Walmart parking lot ...and he'd been a Boy Scout! I don't know how many guns Tom had or what kind! I didn't know the guns were there. When we first moved back to Texas, I think Tom gave me the combination to his safe...but I have no idea where it walkd off to. I didn' have the keys to the motor home or the shed. Were they in my house or did the police get them from Amy? I thought Tom's weapons were in the storage facility and I didn't know where that was! HOW COULD DAVID KNOW OR HAVE ACCESS TO THEM?

Now, David's Federal Public Defender "lawyers" have sent a letter to the judge in David's case (Alford plea) stating that he does not admit that he has done anything wrong but he will not fight the decision of the court. Have his lawyers (like those he had for his trial for kidnapping) threatened that some evidence against others in his family has been uncovered and we will be prosecuted so (as Medrano and Malik said "fall on your sword" to lessen her sentence) is he being tricked into "protecting" us again? They keep telling family not to say anything just as they did in the last case. NOT AGAIN!!!!!

Dr. Callery,

Dr. Gonzalez's, Tom's doctor's, receptionist/secretary spoke to someone in the medical examiner's office. Then, I talked to her. She said that she had been calling your office and leaving messages since the 15th with no response! Now, Clio (sp?) from Dr. Gonzalez's office, has been told that she cannot fax the request for the findings (including information you may have found about my husband's head/tumor). She has to send a letter by way of the postal service. This could take a few days ... and receiving your reply could take a few more!

Mealey's said they thought they were picking up Tom's body and cremating it today! Faxing the request and a copy of your report would have made that possible ... but that, obviously, does not follow your policies and procedures .  I have borrowed just enough money to cremate and bury my husband's cremains. I don't have any more!!!  If Mealey's picks him up and stores his body, I'll have to get $75.00/day storage fees somewhere. If you bury Tom on state property, it could cost me thousands! If you know how someone on Social Security who's husband created a huge bill with the IRS that they have added 10%/month in fines can get extra money, PLEASE, HELP ME! if you don't, please, hold the remains of Thomas Matusiewicz until Dr. Gonzalez gets your report!

The following AP follow-up article suggests that employees of the State of Delaware were indifferent to Lenore's pleas and the damage being done to every member of her family by their attainder.  By treating members of this family as if they were Tom, they give the appearance that they are void of any modicum of human compassion.

 

Body of Delaware courthouse shooter cremated - The Associated Press

WILMINGTON, Del. — A funeral home official says the body of a Texas man who killed his former daughter-in-law and another woman at a Delaware courthouse has been cremated.

Chick Mealey of the Mealey Funeral Home says the body of 68-year-old Thomas Matusiewicz was cremated Thursday, shortly after it was released by the state. Authorities say Matusiewicz killed himself following the courthouse shooting.

Lenore Matusiewicz, the gunman's widow, says she is still awaiting an autopsy report. She sought unsuccessfully to have her husband's body held until she could arrange an independent autopsy. Lenore Matusiewicz believes a brain tumor that went untreated for years is to blame for her husband's violent actions. . . .
